IN SEARCH OF GOD

This is a very short and sweet piece written by me during the most inquisitive period of human's life - teenage. I still read this and try to comprehend it in totality. Have a nice read...

One day a young boy, like every other boy, got curious about a question, of which many in the world are curious:- Where is God? He had heard answers many times but like every other boy, he was also not satisfied. His inquisitive mind started searching.

Now, wherever he saw a place of worship he went there. He asked his questions to the preachers and sought meaningful answers.

“Where is God?”

“He is everywhere.”

“Have you met Him?”

“We can just feel his presence.”

“Have you seen Him?”

“No one has seen him.”

“Then how was that statue made?”

“It’s just his resemblance.”

“Really? ”

“May be. ”

“Do you believe Him.”

“Yes.”

“But when you have not seen him, why do you believe Him?”

“Because everybody does the same. ”

“Which God do you believe in?”

“There is only one God?”
“Who? ”

“_________” He gets yet another name.

“But I heard another name from someone else.”

“No, ours is the real one.”

Wherever he asked the questions, he got more or less the same answers, except the name.

He sat alone in a garden and looked around. He saw the trees, the animals, the birds, the people, the children and felt as if all are god and at last he saw himself and asked himself, “If they are god, am I not?” A voice answered, “Yes, even you are god.”

“But if I am God, why don’t I have powers like Him.”

“You have, but you don’t know to use them.”

“No, I don’t have powers like him.”

“As you believe.”

“If there is only one god why are there so many names, I will give him a unique name.”

“Everybody wants to do the same, but the problem is that their uniques vary.”

He noticed something, got confused and asked, “Whose voice is this? Who is answering my questions?” There was no reply from his inner voice.

He thought a lot that day and took a decision to not believe his voice. He got up to go ahead with his life, leaving his unclear questions unanswered. And he never felt that voice as intense as that day…
